Welcome to Producing for DPTV!

Here producers will find information and resources for submitting content to DPTV.

Detroit Public TV is the viewer-supported PBS member station serving Southeast Michigan. Our vision is for a community in which people trust public TV to help them discover new ideas, make informed decisions, and enjoy enriched lives.

DPTV has five broadcast channels and a variety of digital distribution channels. Across these platforms, we program content that reflects the rich diversity of our community and strive to work with local producers and storytellers to broaden our content offerings.

DPTV considers completed content projects on a year-round basis. DPTV is primarily seeking content that is locally produced and/or features topics of local interest or tells a story that connects to the Detroit region in some way. Selected content may be distributed across our broad array of content distribution platforms.

Creators submitting content must own the copyright and have artistic, editorial, and financial control of their projects. Content creators are also responsible for all rights, clearances, and releases including and especially any third-party materials.

Completed forms will be acknowledged and reviewed by DPTV programming staff. You will be contacted if your content is a right fit for DPTV distribution platforms.
