MASTERPIECE 50th Anniversary

January 2021 marks the beginning of MASTERPIECE on PBS’ 50th anniversary season. To celebrate, several new shows featuring familiar stars, beloved stories and more will be airing throughout the month.

On January 3 at 9 p.m. ET, don’t miss two-time Academy Award-winner Glenda Jackson’s return to MASTERPIECE in the new series, Elizabeth is Missing.” In this BAFTA-nominated mystery, Jackson portrays Maud, a woman in the grip of dementia trying to solve the case of her missing friend.

Then, get ready for a dose of comfort and joy when All Creatures Great and Small premieres January 10 at 9 p.m. ET.  This seven-part series shares James Herriot’s heartwarming, entertaining and hilarious adventures as a veterinarian in 1930s Yorkshire.

Later, on January 17 at the special time of 8 p.m. ET, watch Miss Scarlet and the Duke,” a new six-part mystery starring Kate Phillips (“Peaky Blinders”) as the feisty, first-ever female detective in Victorian London.
