American Black Journal

America's longest running Public Affairs Show

With more than 40 years of weekly programs, American Black Journal is a window into American history. Today, the show continues to be a vibrant and provocative forum for newsmakers, celebrities and everyday people. It is designed to be fast-paced with more segments and a mix of field and studio elements. The segments feature topics about the arts and culture and also cover community issues such as politics, race, and religion.

Three years ago the Arts League of Michigan opened The Carr Center to develop and preserve the African and African American cultural arts traditions within our multicultural community. It is being helmed as the premier center for African and African American cultural arts programs and activities in the nation.

Joining us today is President of The Carr Center, Oliver Ragsdale.
This is ABJ Episode 4136 which aired 9/23/2012.
