Troops at NormandyD-Day is told through the voices of people who participated in the planning and execution of the invasion, and in the battle for the Normandy beaches. Edited from over 100 hours of interviews, their stories are woven together with footage and photographs from American, British, and German archives. Written by four-time Oscar winner Charles Guggenheim, the film was nominated for a 1995 Academy Award.
