Unless a Death Occurs: Hazing Examined
Unless a Death Occurs: Hazing Examined is an incisive documentary on the pervasiveness of hazing on America's high school and college campuses. The program traces the tragic steps of Walter Dean Jennings, a Plattsburgh State University College freshman, who paid the highest price for admittance into a fraternity banned by college authorities. Interviews with 11 fraternity brothers responsible for the hazing death provide firsthand accounts of the event, and experts provide in-depth analysis of the conditions that encourage hazing behavior. The story is a powerful testimony to a university's and community's pledge not to allow another hazing death to occur.
