How can PBS and PBS stations help teachers jump-start their year?  Join us this morning to find out.

Our PBS Teacher Summit will offer teachers information on how to better utilize PBS LearningMedia Assets and develop lesson plans, as well as provide them with the opportunity to tour Detroit Public Television, network with peers, and receive a free one-year subscription to the PBS LearningMedia Custom Service for their entire school building ($395 value).

The workshop will be led by John Sessler, who conducts trainings and professional development sessions around the country for PBS LearningMedia. Prior to joining PBS, John taught arts and literacy programs that partnered with schools throughout the Midwest. His graduate course¬work focused on the design and implementation of blended learning environments and digital curricula for pre-K - 12th grade students.

Detroit Public TV builds on the PBS tradition to reach young people in new ways, extend lifelong learning for adults and setting the standard for helping kids become ready to learn. From new parent support through graduation and beyond, DPTV is a trusted partner and valuable resource for educators, parents and children.
