Former Detroit Mayor Dave Bing joins us to discuss the Bing Youth Institute. Mayor Bing’s work with the program has helped young men in the city of Detroit, who are matched with successful men in business to help them succeed.

Ted Talbert Black Film Festival Scholarships

Documentary producer and Emmy Award-winner Ted Talbert was an influential documentarian in the Detroit community. Now, the Ted Talbert Black Film Festival Scholarship helps young people achieve their goals for filmmaking. Ted Talbert’s sister, Edna Talbert Bell, joins us to discuss the new scholarship competition and its impact on the community and future filmmakers.
