This special program showcases the film and video work of high school seniors from around the State of Michigan and is hosted by Elliot Wilhelm, Curator of the D.I.A.'s Detroit Film Theatre and host of Detroit Public Television's "Film Festival". A few selected films/videos will be shown in their entirety along with interviews of the students that created them, as well as clips of all remaining senior "Best Of Show" winners. The students come from every part of the state.

Detroit Area Film and Television, a non-profit educational organization that promotes visual literacy through the creative use of film and video, presented the awards on May 3rd at The Detroit Institute of Arts. Along with DAFT, the event was co-sponsored by The Detroit Institute of Arts and The Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs with support from numerous corporate sponsors.
