JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage and implement all fund raising activities related to mid and major gifts and planned giving donor relationships for WRCJ 90.9 FM. This includes the cultivation,
solicitation, prospecting and stewardship of Kresge Society members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Kresge Society member cultivation and stewardship activities*: such as luncheons, VIP receptions, trips, events and meetings
- Identify donor prospects and work strategies for upgrading current annual donors
- Design, implement and mange direct-mail and telemarketing campaigns
- Manage planned giving programs, including: updating promotional material and building relationships with estate planning representatives
- Work closely with DPTV Development team in all aspects of fundraising and cultivation
- Participate and assist in producing WRCJ on –air membership drives
- Assist in developing and implementing online strategies to connect with mid-and major donors
- Attend networking events
- Develop and maintain annual expense and revenue budget
- Assist in design and implement a business plan for increasing the amount of donors as well as the donation amount and retention rates
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
*Note: Detail for member cultivation activities: design and implement receptions/events target invitations, promotion, catering, guest selection, etc.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- proven ability to multi-task
- Strong commitment to team work
- Strong computer skills: Word, Outlook, Excel Access and Development databases
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the development arena with a strong concentration in special events and/ or major giving cultivation
