Community Advisory Panel
What is the Community Advisory Panel?
It is by law that a public television station receiving federal funds has to have a community advisory panel.
The Community Advisory Panel reviews the programming goals established by Detroit Public Television, the service provided by the station, and the significant programming policies. The Panel then advises Detroit Public Television with whether the programming and other policies of the station are meeting the specialized educational and cultural needs of the communities served, and may make such recommendations as it considers appropriate to meet such needs.
The advisory panel is intended to provide the public the opportunity to be heard on station programming, community service and impact on the community of major policy decisions.
The Community Advisory Panel meetings are conducted quarterly. The next meeting is scheduled for:
October 27, 2014
University of Michigan Detroit Center
3663 Woodward Avenue, Suite 150 in Detroit
